The Birth of The Comfort Grip

The Comfort Grip is the result of a personal journey and a dedication to improving the experience of traction therapy. Based in Yorkshire, UK, I run a business specialising in product design and manufacturing consultancy. Two years ago, this expertise became deeply personal when I was diagnosed with Peyronie’s disease and advised to purchase a traction therapy device following ultrasound treatment.

While the traction therapy device itself was highly effective and the market leader, I quickly encountered challenges during its use. The process of applying sticky bandages, pads, and plasters before beginning therapy was cumbersome and time-consuming. Worse still, the device’s clamping mechanism often caused discomfort and slippage during treatment. Frustrated but motivated, I sought to invent and develop a design solution that addressed these issues.

After 18 months of design work, countless 3D-printed prototypes, and extensive personal trials, the Comfort Grip was born. This innovative accessory was designed to seamlessly integrate with my existing traction therapy device whilst overcoming the limitations of its original clamping mechanism.

The Comfort Grip features a precision turning bezel that allows for infinite adjustment, providing a secure and comfortable grip throughout therapy. Unlike the clamping feature of the original design, the Comfort Grip allows you to make small, precise adjustments as needed. Its soft silicone band gently adheres to your skin, offering a level of comfort that enhances the overall experience. Additionally, the silicone band can be easily removed for cleaning, ensuring long-term hygiene and usability.

The design has been well-received, including positive feedback from medical professionals. The Comfort Grip is not a replacement for the original traction therapy device, but a complementary enhancement that improves its functionality. It reflects my belief that men’s health deserves thoughtful innovation, and I am proud to bring this product to you.

With The Comfort Grip, traction therapy can be more comfortable, effective, and efficient, giving you the confidence and convenience you need on your journey to recovery.
